Large embossed silver ornament in the shape of a Flower Basket (Longevity & Abundance) with a Peony flower (Wealth & Honor). Hovering above is a Bat with a monstrous face. These are flanked by two more Bats (Blessings & Riches). The ornament is of exceptional quality and it is marked but the mark is illegible. We do not know its use. It dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912), Length 11.1 cm. Width 5.5 cm. Depth 1.2 cm.
