Small silver lock decorated with an Osmanthus flower (Distinguished sons) on one side and a flower which may be a crab-apple flower on the other. Plum flowers (Five Blessings) and oars of Rice (Harmony) are depicted in the borders. The lock is hallmarked with the name Pin Fang (品芳) who may have been the silversmith or the retailer. It dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Width 2.8 cm. Height 1.8 cm. Depth 1.1 cm. Weight 8.2 grams.
