Amulet showing a boy armed with a bow – (0287)

Silver amulet with is decorated on one side with a boy armed with a bow and arrow and the characters ‘Bai Jia Zhen Fu (Good wishes from a hundred families). The meaning of the boy with the bow eludes us but we assume that bow served as some sort of protection. The amulet is hallmarked and dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Height 4.8 cm. Width 3.4 cm. Depth 0.1 cm.
