Stunning little cup made of eggshell porcelain and painted in Blue and white with different plant and flower motives. The mark on the bottom reads, in Chinese as we don’t know Japanese, 肥碟山信甫造 (fei die shan xin fu zao). This kind of mark is commonly found on Japanese export porcelain to the West during the Meiji period (1868 – 1912) which means that the cup is Japanese. This little gem which was presumably used to drink sake, rice wine, from, is of a great quality. Diameter 7.9 cm. Height 2.4 cm.
