Bronze or brass round amulet decorated on one side with stylized depictions of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and with the Eight Trigrams (Pa Kua) on the other (for description see Quick Find 7502). The top part is decorated with a stylized lotus flower, symbol of Continuous Harmony. The amulet dates from the late Ming (1368 – 1644) to the early Qing period (1644 – 1912). Height 5.6 cm.
