Shoulao is the God of Longevity. He is recognizable by his oversized forehead which is a sign of Wisdom, a long beard and a long staff which both stand for a Long life. In this modern miniature object he is accompanied by a small Boy who holds a Peach in his hand. Shoulao is a symbol of Longevity. The Boy represents the wish to have many Sons and the Peach is also a symbol of Longevity. The God of Longevity (Shou) is one of the Three Star Gods (San Xing) together with the God of Wealth (Lu) and the God of Prosperity (Fu). This charming little item is very nicely made but not signed. Length 3.0 cm. Diameter 1.7 cm.
