Hand-made miniature carved from the kernel of a ‘gânlan’ fruit which is a rather tough material. The modern carving depicts 2 cute frogs on a lotus leaf. In Chinese culture Frogs can signify everything from Prosperity to Immortality. The lotus leaf signifies ‘Continuous Harmony’. This small object is very nicely carved but not signed. Length 3.6 cm. Diameter 1.6 cm.
