Hand-carved kernel of a 'Ganlan' fruit with a 'shou' (Longevity) character and five bats, in Chinese 'Wu Fu' which refers to the ' Five Blessings', Old Age, Wealth, Love of Virtue, Health and a Peaceful Death. This miniature object was carved using the kernel of a Chinese ‘gânlan’ fruit, which is a very hard material, at the end of the 20th century. Length 3.5 cm. Diameter 1.8 cm.
