Eight tortoises on coins – (1782)

Bracelet made of eight hand-carved ‘Ganlan’ kernels in the shape of tortoises resting on coins with the inscription ‘Qian Shou Tong Gui (钱寿同归)’ which means Longlife and Prosperity altogether. The Tortoise itself signifies Strength, Endurance and a Long Life. The bracelet was made in the latter part of the 20th century. Total length approximately 24 cm. Bead length 2.2 cm. Width 1.6 cm. Height 1.7 cm.
