The Seven Japanese Gods of Fortune guarantee good luck. Seven is also a number which brings good luck in Japan The names of the seven Gods are Ebisu (Abundance, Prosperity), Daikokuten (Commerce & Prosperity), Bishamonten (Authority, Dignity and Fortune in Wars & Battles), Fukurokuju (Wisdom, Longevity, Luck, Wealth & Happiness), Jurojin (Longevity & Protector of elderly), Hotei (Guardian of children) and the Goddess Benzaiten (Beauty & Talent as well as Patron of artists, dancers and geishas). The carving of these faces was done by Hong Kong master carver Songshan (松山) whose name would read Songzan in Japanese. Average height 5 cm. Width 4 cm. Depth 2.3 cm.
