Silver ring decorated with a Buddhist Lion or Fu Dog, a shrimp, fish and a frog. The Lion represents Harmony, Blessings, Protection as well as High Rank. The two fish symbolize Abundance and the Shrimp which has a flexible body is a symbol for things going smoothly (wanwanshun). The meaning of the frog is unknown to us. The ring dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Diameter 2.2 cm. Width 1.3 cm.
