Narrow silver ring decorated with two dragons chasing the ‘Flaming Pearl’. In China, dragons which are known for their Strength and Good Fortune, are revered as divine mythical creatures often depicted chasing after a luminous pearl. The mystical ‘Flaming Pearl’ is viewed as a symbol of Wisdom and in early Taoism as ‘Yang’ energy. The ring dates from the Republic period (1912 – 1947). Diameter 2.2 cm. Width 0.6 cm.
