Embossed silver ring depicting a scene of a man and a woman standing next to a house. The man who wears an official’s hat and the woman symbolize a Harmonious Marriage and the house is a symbol of Wealth and Power. Under and over the scene are Cymbidium flowers which symbolize Friendship and Grandchildren. It would not surprise us if this charming ring was once a wedding present. It dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Inside diameter 1.9 cm. Width 2.6 cm.
