Embossed silver ring depicting a scene of a man and a woman with fans in their hands. The man who wears an official’s hat and the woman symbolize a Harmonious Marriage and the fans in their hands represent ‘Longevity’. We guess that this ring was once a wedding present. It is marked Zu Wen (足纹) for ‘Silver’ and dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Inside diameter 1.9 cm. Width 2.3 cm.
