Silver embossed ring decorated with two persons at a table which seem to point fingers at each other. Most probably this is a depiction of the ‘Laughing Twins’ or He He Erxian' who are the Gods of Peace and Harmony. They bestow blessings on marriages. The ring dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Inside diameter 1.9 cm. Width 2.1 cm.
