Solid silver double hook decorated with a flower basket which is the attribute of the Immortal Lan Caihe and symbolizes Longevity and Abundance. Inside the basket is a Peony flower (Wealth & Honor). The hook is marked Wan Yuan (萬元) who may have been the silversmith or retailer and dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Height 4.6 cm. Width 3.2 cm.
