Silver embossed garment ornament in the shape of a Butterfly (Blessings & Happiness). The wings of the butterfly are decorated with five-petaled Plum flowers representing the Five Blessings, Old Age, Wealth, Health, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death and Bamboo leaves (Humility & Fidelity). The ornament dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Width 3.3 cm. Height 2.3 cm. Depth 0.15 cm.
