Small silver lock decorated on one side with Plum flowers which with their five petals symbolize the ‘Five Blessings’, Old age, Health, Wealth, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death. On the other side is a depiction of what we believe is a Crab-apple flower (hall or home). On the bottom are three coins which represent Wealth. The lock is not hallmarked and dates from the late Qing (1644 - 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 - 1947). Width 3.0 cm. Height 1.8 cm. Depth 1.2 cm.
