Small silver lock decorated with an Osmanthus flower (Distinguished sons) on one side and a Peony (Wealth and Honor) on the other. Plum flowers (Five Blessings) and Bamboo (Peace) are depicted in the borders. The lock is hallmarked with 'Zu Yin' (足银) for 'pure silver'. It dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Width 3.3 cm. Height 2.0 cm. Depth 1.3 cm.
