A set of three very small silver hat ornaments in the shape of Putai. Putai or the ‘Laughing Buddha’ has a good and loving nature and is traditionally depicted as a fat-bellied bald man wearing a robe and playing with prayer beads. These very small items are individually marked with the name He Tong Sheng (合同昇) who also made the ten hat ornaments under 6538. Those differ however slightly from these ones. The hat ornaments date from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Height 2.1 cm. Width 1.5 cm. Depth 1 cm.
