Gilt silver hat ornament in openwork decorated with a man sitting on an animal which is most probably a horse and a smiling person on each side. A man on a horse (ma) is a pun ’Soon you will have peace' (mashang ping’an). The other two figures are perhaps servants. The emblem dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Width 5.8 cm.
