A set of four silver hat medallions with Chinese characters. The characters are surrounded by Five bats and form the expression ‘Chang Ming Fu Gui’ (长命富贵) which means ‘Longevity and Prosperity’. The Five bats are called the Five Blessings (Wufu) which are Longevity, Health, Wealth, Virtue and death by natural causes. The hat medallions date from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Diameter 3.0 cm. Depth 0.3 cm.
