Silver hat ornament in the shape of a soldier in full armor. We believe that a famous general during the Tang period, General Guo Ziyi, is depicted here. He became eighty four and was considered as a symbol of Longevity, Wealth and Honor (fugui shoukao, dafugui yishoukao). The ornament dates from the late Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Height 5.9 cm.
