Enameled silver comb decorated with osmanthus flowers symbolizing a wish to get Distinguished Sons. Attached is a chain with a musical chime (qing) which symbolizes Auspicious Happiness and a basket which represents Longevity and Abundance. The comb dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Width without chain 9.5 cm. Height 3.3 cm.
