Gilt silver filigree hairpin topped by a dragon’s head. Traces of paint are still visible. A dragon is believed to bring rain and therefore symbolizes Fertility. We have not been able to give this hairpin an exact date but it was most probably made during the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 16 cm. Width 1.5 cm.
