Three-pronged silver hairpin decorated with a white glass disc embellished with an enameled plum flower in the centre. A plum flower has five petals which symbolize the Five Blessings, Old age, Good Health, Wealth, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death. The hairpin dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 11.3 cm. Width 1.5 cm.
