Very thin silver hairpin or hat pin decorated with a cute little Butterfly (Blessings & happiness) at the top. It is very likely that the butterfly was once adorned with the bright blue feathers of the Kingfisher bird. The hairpin dates from the end of the Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Length 13.5 cm. Width 1.7 cm.
