Silver grooming set decorated with a very cute figure of a naked baby boy who is clutching a gold bar which symbolizes a wish for both wealth and many sons. The little ‘willy’ of the boy pops in and out. The weight of this grooming set is quite substantial. It has two utensils, an ear spoon and a toothpick ending in hands with the index finger stretched out. The set dates from the end of the Qing period (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Total length 28 cm. Boy: Height 3.0 cm. Width 0.9 cm.
