Pair of silver bangles for a child. Two silver rods have been twisted by the silversmith to get this pleasing effect. The result is very nice and quite heavy. The tips are marked with the engraved characters ‘Mei’ (美) and ‘Yuan’ (源) which may be the name of the silversmith or the retailer. The bangles date from the Republic period (1912 – 1947). Outside diameter 4.8 cm. Thickness 0.6 cm.
