Red lacquered wooden spool without any decoration. The spool was used for winding up different colors of silk thread which were used for embroidery. It has been used but is still in good condition and dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 21.2 cm. Width 4.0 cm. Thickness 1.2 cm.
