Boxwood (huang yang mu) carved with a scene of Lao Zi (Lao Tzu) crossing the mountains on an ox led by a boy. Lao Zi was the creator of Daoism (Taoism). It is said that he crossed the Hangu Pass and was never seen again. First half of the 20th century. The brush hair has been replaced. Length 32 cm.
