Pair of rather impressive snuff dishes made from Burmese jadeite (Fei Tsui). They were used to offer snuff tobacco to visitors. Snuff is made of pulverized tobacco leaves. It is inhaled or ‘snuffed’ through the nose. These dishes date from the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Diameter 5.6 cm. Height 1.3 cm.
