Small green glazed porcelain toggle in the shape of a monkey holding a peach. The monkey king Sun Wukong stole the Peach of Immortality from the garden of Xi Wang Mu, the Queen Mother of the West. Therefore both the Monkey and the Peach symbolize Longevity. The toggle dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Height 2.8 cm. Width 1.9 cm. Depth 3.1 cm.
