A Rock (longevity), Narcissus leaves and a Plum flowers grace this blue and white porcelain saucer. A Ribbon-tailed bird chases an insect. Ribbon-tailed birds (shoudainiao), Rocks (shoushi) and Narcissus (shuixian) lead to the saying ‘May all your descendants enjoy longevity’ (daidai shouxian). The plum flower with its five petals represents the Five Blessings, Health, Wealth, Old age, Love of virtue and a peaceful death. The back of the saucer is covered in a dark brown glaze.
