Porcelain pillow decorated on top in blue and white with Chrysanthemum flowers symbolizing Longevity because of their health giving properties. They are standing in a vase (ping) which means Peace. Also depicted are two Finger Citrons (foshou) which represent Blessings (fu) and Longevity (shou), Pomegranates and peonies are painted on its sides. Pomegranates symbolize a wish for many children because the fruit has many seeds and Peonies are a symbol of Wealth and Honor. Pillows such as this provided cooling in hot weather.
