Simple square seal made of yellowish green and reddish brown shoushan-stone. There is an inscription on the side which mentions the name of the carver, Xi Gang (奚岡) who was born in Anhui (安徽) in 1746 and died in 1803. Xi was a painter, seal-carver and calligrapher and one the four most prominent members of the ‘Xi Leng Printing Society’ (西冷四大家). Height 4.4 cm. Width 4.4 cm. Depth 4.4 cm. PRICE ON REQUEST.
