Large brown shoushan-stone seal which resembles the tooth of a sperm whale. It is decorated with two boys and an old man walking in a forest. One of the boys has a lantern and the other carries a box. There is an inscription on the front which also mentions the name of the carver, 'Zhu Zui Zhu' (朱醉竹) from Hangzhou who lived from 1910 to 1974. Zhu was a well-known seal carver and calligrapher and a member of the ‘Xileng Printing Society’ (西冷印社社员) Height 12.3 cm. Width 7.8 cm. Depth 5.5 cm. PRICE ON REQUEST
