Brown shoushan-stone seal shaped like bamboo stalks and leaves. Bamboo is a symbol of longevity and vitality because it can survive the hardest natural conditions and remains green all year round. It also represents the qualities of durability, strength, flexibility and resilience since it will bend in a storm but does not break. The seal was carved by the well-known Chinese painter, calligrapher and carver ‘Qian Juntao’ (1907 – 1998) from Zhejiangtongxiang Village. The date inscribed is 1948. Height 6.6 cm. Width 3.1 cm.
