Well carved seal which dates from the 18th century or earlier. It was discovered in an antiques shop in London in 1973. The carving is well done but the material is less exciting and has a greyish colour which is possibly the result of having been in a fire. The inscription was ground off which was a common practice when the owner passed away. Height 5.7 cm.
