Bronze finial which was originally mounted at the tip of a chariot pole in front of a chariot. The finial has a wonderful ‘enamel-like‘ patina and the front part is decorated with the ‘whirls’ which are so characteristic of the Warring States period. On top of the front part is a depiction of a Tao Tieh or monster mask. The finial dates from the Warring States period (475-221BC). Length 12.5 cm
