Weights in ring-shape - (2864) PRICE ON REQUEST
[2864]

Extremely rare set of eight bronze weights dating from the Qin (221 – 206BC) or Western Han period (206BC – 25AD). Each ring weighs twice as much as the previous one. The first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi, introduced the standardization of units of measurement such as the units of length, weight and volume so it is not surprising that each ring has almost exactly the double weight of the previous one. The rings are still in wonderful condition and have a very nice patina. Largest diameter 4.9 cm. Smallest 1.1 cm. PRICE ON REQUEST
